Republican Leadership for Old Bridge
Local Experience. Commonsense, Conservative Leadership.
Mayor Debbie Walker and her Republican allies on Council have a proven record of promoting fiscal responsibility, supporting law enforcement, preserving open space, and safeguarding the special quality of life that makes our community a great place to live.
★ Holding the line on your municipal property taxes
Mayor Debbie Walker and her Republican allies on Council held growth in municipal property taxes to less than 3% over the last two years. The municipal portion of your tax makes up less than 20% of your total bill. Due to school funding cuts from Trenton, school taxes (which the Mayor and Council do not control) has increased sharply.
★ Investing in public safety and standing with our police.
The Republican Mayor and Council have hired new police officers each of the last two years, won over $1 million in federal grants for police tech upgrades, emergency operations center enhancements, and related equipment, and consistently provided increased funding to our police department to help keep Old Bridge safe and secure.
★ Fighting development mandates and preserving open space.
Mayor Debbie Walker and her Republican allies on Council have fought against low-income housing mandates from Trenton and worked to preserve and enhance local parks and recreation facilities, like Cottrell Farm Park, and are seeking similar improvements to Ticetown Road Park this year.
